Flower Farm Hand (20 hrs + hours fluctuate with season) (Wednesday & Friday)
Bloomfield Market Assistant (3 Saturdays/month)
Position 1: Flower Farm Hand (Core Part Time)
Start Date: Mid April
End Date: mid December (dates can be flexible)
Hours: 6:15am - 4:40pm Wednesdays & Fridays (20hrs - hours will fluctuate with season)
Main Responsibilities: All aspects of the farm from seed to bouquet. These tasks include seed sowing, planting, weeding, mulching, compost spreading, setting up drip irrigation, hoeing, mowing, weed whacking, harvesting, flower and soil amending, organic pest and disease control, fertilization, pinching, deadheading, cover cropping, flower processing, bouquet arranging, dried flower arranging.
We are a very small crew, so each team member plays an integral role on our farm.
Position 2: Bloomfield Market Assistant
Start Date: May 4th- Mid December
End Date: mid December
Hours: 6:45am - 1:45pm 3 Saturdays/month
Main Responsibilities: Represent the farm at the weekly Bloomfield Farmers Market! Get our flowers out to the people! Load/transport flowers from Braddock farm to Bloomfield, set up market display, restock/rearrange flowers as needed, make sales using Square POS, work outside rain or shine.
